Textile Extravaganza at ACME et al.

ACME_Textiles_11_s

Today I went over to Yarra Glen to see Yering Station for the first time.  I spent the first hour there with my mouth open saying "Wow!" way too many times.  It's going to take me quite a while to get the photos and the Wow factor of that one ready for you!

On my way home I popped into ACME et al. (As if I hadn't had enough Wow for one day!) It's hard to say what I love most about ACME et al. Oh let's face it, I just love everything! Their brand spanking new exhibition "A Common Thread" just happened to be open.  Oh happy day!

The combined textile talent of ten wonderful artists covers the full gamut of threads and textiles from felting to exquisite lace making. Here's a little photographic essay to convince you to make the trip out to Yarra Glen before the end of August to see it for yourself.

(On Saturday 6th August at 4pm-6pm you have an opportunity to share a drink and canapes with the artists amongst their inspirational work.  Go on, get out your diary, you know you want to!)
