I've just heard that Xenia Stefanescu has been selected as a finalist with this self portrait for the 2011 Portia Geach Memorial Award. You may remember that  Xenia was also a finalist in this year's Archibald Prize. This work showcases Xenia's love of colour and textiles- so works brilliantly as a self portrait of the artist.

The winner of the award will be announced on the 22nd of September at the S.H. Ervin Gallery Sydney, where the exhibition of the finalist's work will be on display from September 23rd to November 6th 2011.

Xenia is available for portraits by commission. She can be contacted on  +61 3 5778 7487.
